Specific Las Vegas weather information from someone who knows the area.

My name is Nathan Foster. I am a geographer by education and a cartographer by career. I grew up loving weather and was fortunate to work for the National Weather Service for 15 years, part of which was in Las Vegas. I have a unique insiders perspective on how the weather in the Las Vegas Valley works. I still frequently visit for photography or leisure and find the weather there interesting. From flash floods during the monsoon, to extreme Death Valley heat, I’ve seen it all.

This Is A No AI Website

I research and write every blog post, forecast, and article on my page. I do NOT use AI for anything on my page. If you contact me, I will respond, not some dumb automated thing.

Where Do You Get Your Weather Information?

I look at many different weather models to get a feel for what’s happening across the region then summarize in my own words. The specific forecast temperatures I use official National Weather Service forecast information because nobody forecasts better the them…trust me, I know.

Do forecasts change?

You better believe it! Weather is a difficult science and while forecasts the next couple of days are very good, there are always surprises. And the further you out go in time, the less reliable the forecasts become. The best possible information is always provided for planning purposes but check back frequently!
